The final sermon of Hazrat Khwaja Mu'inuddin Chishti, which he delivered to his followers just one month before his demise. The great saint said:

"Love all and hate none.
Mere talk of peace will avail you naught.
Mere talk of God and religion will not take you far.
Bring out all of the latent powers of your being
and reveal the full magnificience
of your immortal self.
Be surcharged with peace and joy,
And scatter them wherever you are
and wherever you go.
Be a blazing fire of truth,
Be a beauteous blossom of love
And be a soothing balm of peace. With your spiritual light,
dispel the darkness of ignorance;
dissolve the clouds of discord and war
and spread goodwill, peace, and harmony among the people.
Never seek any help, charity, or favors
from anybody except God.
Never go to the courts of kings,
but never refuse to bless and help the needy and the poor,
the widow, and the orphan, if they come to your door.
This is your mission, to serve the people....
Carry it out dutifully and courageously."

I vow to discover and develop my own natural talents each day with a view to using these to discover my life's work...in so doing, to consciously express my RICHNESS OF BEING.

I vow to have the courage to release and forgive the past...to look to the future for clues which make the present a successful adventure...to hold an image of a future self who has all the resources in place to achieve success and prosperity.

I vow to eliminate negative thinking, speech, and feelings from my reality and to focus on the positive outcomes of my desires with commitment, true will, and determination...to find some way to add fun to each day for myself or someone else.

I vow to end self judgement, self criticism and blame...to realize failure is only a reminder to move in a new direction...to discover where I need more love, understanding, and healing when things do not move smoothly and easily and to recieve these with gratitude from myself and others.

I vow to eliminate the need for control based on fear...to function from a belief that I can love unconditionally...giving without strings or expectation of repayment...knowing that I will recieve all I will ever need and more.

I vow to live these percepts to the best of my ability and by doing so, be an example to others of a new way of growth and change...a way of exciting self-discovery, self-acceptance, and self-actualization...knowing that I REALLY CAN MAKE A DIFFERENCE.

The First Apostle following The Holy Prophet, Imam Ali (A.S.), preserved this saying and explicit expression of love:

Meditation in God is my capital.
Reason and sound logic are the root of my action.
Love is the foundation of my existence.
Enthusiasm is the vehicle of my life.
Contemplation of The Most High is my companion.
Faith is the source of my power.
Sorrow is my friend.
Knowledge is my weapon.
Patience is my clothing and virtue.
Submission to the Divine Will is my pride.
Truth is my salvation.
Worship is my practice.
And prayer lies in the coolness of my eyes and my peace of mind.
