HEXAGONS: WHO, WHAT, WHERE, WHEN, WHY?

When I think of space and the shapes contained I generally think of circles and spirals. This seems to be the shape our planets, suns, and galaxys form: rounded.

When I saw these pictures of Hexagons on the north and south poles of Saturn it caused so much awe on my part that I decided to share it.


These are huge storms on saturns poles (where there is also aura borealis currently). The one on the left is at the north pole and can hold 4 earths side by side and has 300 mph winds along the straight edges which make a 60 deg. turn at the corners. The one on the right on the south pole and is a 5000 mile wide hexagon huricane and is turning 350 mph.

It goes on to give a few example of hexagons on our planet (crystals, honey comb, (molecules)) and on other planets like mars.

What I thought was the coolest part though was their theory of sound resonance causing the form. The article states that each musical note/pitch (don't stop there!) produces a different geometric shape when resonated against a metal pan with salt or rice on it!! So every vibration has an associated shape. And look at the variety:


Why do waves produce these forms? I thought waves went up and down, now I see that they can be as differently shaped as snowflakes.

These patterns called Chladni Patterns remind me of the Dr. Emoto experiments with water. This is the Japanese scientist who focused different intentions and emotional energies on glasses of water. He then viewed each waters frozen crystal structure.

Seriously, you'll be amazed.

It seems like these shapes only form at certain frequency ranges. Where, as they increase the frequency, the shape remains in it's shape and then POP, switches to the next.

The study of this is called Cymatics - wave phenomena. I've learned that these shapes are also relative to the surface that the salt is on: shape and density. A square plate shows different patterns then a round.

I suppose our human body would create it's own set of patterns as energy pass through us. Maybe as it bounces around inside us it creates "nodes" that correspond to our chakras. And "lines" that correspond to our meridians.?



Just a thought, I invite other thoughts that we might learn together.

Wow! Beautiful! I loved the video, thank you for sharing. Third eye started vibrating when the frequencies were getting higher. Then I could not keep my eyes open, going into a trance-meditative state. The energy ascended in my body fast and went above crown. So neat!

Some say that geometric patterns similar to those in the video clip are created in the body when we are listening to various sounds. Sometimes when I am in a state of “bliss” (usually when I am boosting, meditating, chanting or singing) I see these geometric patterns which also change colors.

It should be the square tone you are working with, you change the values to 15hz [for example] then let it run.[play button]

If you have a frequency code, which lets you know the right frequency to use for which purpose, then it will tell you which wave to use...

Hi Teresa, hope things are well in your neck of the woods.

I use that same tone generator and I thought I'd share a little about Binaural beats. You can select a Stereo output where you have a left and a right channel. You can have each channel play a different tone. In playing two different tones simultaneouslly you produce a third tone or Binaural Beat.

Where this can be helpful is in resonating certain low frequencies like brainwaves that are beyond the range of your ears and speakers.

Audible Waves:
20 - 20,000 Hz

Brain Waves:
Delta 0.5Hz - 4Hz Deep sleep
Theta 4Hz - 8Hz Drowsiness (also first stage of sleep)
Alpha 8Hz - 14Hz Relaxed but alert
Beta 14Hz - 30Hz Highly alert and focused

For example if you set the right channel to 528 Hz and the left to 526 Hz you would then produce a binaural beat of 2 Hz. When this is done through headphones the two waves collide in the center of your head and produce the third. When this is done thru speakers you hear a "wa wa wa" sound as the waves collide before reaching your ears.

Wikipedia says the tones need to be lower than 1500 Hz seperately and the difference lower than 30 Hz.
