|
|
*When we pause to look at the numbers, it is clear that modern disease is unimpressed with scientific advancement based upon pharmaceutical approaches. Consider cancer, upon which nothing has been spared in "the war" to research pharmacological, radiological, and surgical treatment. By comparison, almost nothing was spent on natural nutritional therapy. This, despite the United States Surgeon General's July 1988 report, which stated that perhaps two-thirds of all deaths in america in 1987 were related to diet! Also, in 1987, there were more than 900,000 new cases of cancer diagnosed. The bottom line of these numbers revelas that you cannot fight disease when you are not causing health.
Between 1965 and 1986, the percent of adult cigarette smokers dropped 35 percent, from 40 percent to 26.5 percent, and the cancer death rate still kept climbing (United States Bureau of Census). This is more than slightly interesting bcause smoking is blamed by medicine as the major cause of cancer.
We should pause to ponder some relationships in disease etiology. I would not question the strong case linking lung cancer to smoking, yet related factors exist. Before 1930, before the age of toxic agri-chemicals, depleated soils, and junk foods, there was an abundance of long-term heavy smokers, and lung cancer was a very rare disease. Why was lung cancer so rare in the 1920s with a higher percent of adult male smokers than today? A theory can be made that tobacco growers had long before depleated and exploited their soils. Ever-increasing and under-regulated amounts of highly toxic insecticides like DDT, chlordane, toxaphene, and lindane, and the dangerous organophosphorus compounds were sprayed on tobacco fields. The act of smoking vaporizes these residues as they are inhaled into the smoker's lungs. Add to this a new generation of humans exposed to severe air pollution of lead, chlorinated napthalene, and other waste products of combustion; industry poisons; increased radiation; junk food; and general deficiency; and smoking may just be the proverbial straw that broke the camel's back. In other words, smoking may just be the longest nail in the coffin lid, but not enough to hold it down alone. The fisrt sharp rise in the incidence of lung cancer occured about 1947. Enter the postwar twins: the Atomic Age and the Chemical Age.
The cancer rate has continued to climb despite a 17% reduction in alcohol consumption since the 1970s. In 1970, Americans spent $8 billion on legal drugs. In 1986 they spent $31 billion. Are they healthier? The total disease care bill for Americans in 1970 was $75 billion, $349 per person, and 7.4 % of the gross national product (GNP). In 1986, that number grew to a staggering $458 billion, $1,837 per person, and 11% of the GNP. Estimates for 1988 are $511 billion. Medical research, based on the germ theory, rose from $2 billion in 1970 to $8.2 billion in 1986.
If we needed more medical doctors, American's sure got them. When John F. Kennedy became president in 1960, our nation had 275, 000 M.D.s. By 1985, their rank had swollen to 577,000. Heart disease is still the Number One killer, and half of all men die of it. While the use of antibiotics increased at a mind-boggling rate, the death rate attributed to septicemia (the presence of bacterial toxins in the blood) has sored. Since 1960, the United States death rate from septicemia jumped from 1.1 person per 100,000 population to 7.2 persons per 100,000 population in 1985, an increased death rate of 555 percent in twenty-five years! The death from pneumonia between 1980 and 1985 rose 12%. These numbers are from the Statistical Abstracts of the United States, 1988, published by the United States Department of Commerce, Bureau of the Census. More money, more doctors, more research, more drugs, more surgery, more disease, more death. Some ask what America has gained by spending these thousands of billions of dollars. I ask, "What have we lost?" The use of poisons to "make war" on disease is somewhat like a firing squad forming a circle with the prisoner in the center.
According to The Yale-New Haven Hospital Study, 1.5 million Americans are hospitalized each year with medication reactions, resulting in 100,000 deaths annually! This is buried in the statistics file under "iatrogenic deaths", i.e., "doctor-caused death." That number does not include tha almost one thousand deaths that occur each week from what a blue-ribbon medical panel termed "unnecessary operations." That one thousand per week does not include those who die from "necessary operations" such as the six to eight thousand who die annually from complications during gall bladder surgery, called a "routine operation." (See below!!)
"Early detection" has been a major focus in the war on cancer, and billions have been spent on the bad-news-sooner approach. But what good is bad-news-sooner if you still approach the problem from the effect side of cause and effect?
The October 1988 British Medical Journal reports a large-scale study (more than 40,000 women during a ten-year period) by Swedish physicians reporting that the use of mammograms, a much-promoted breast cancer early-warning screening technique, may not cause a reduction in breast cancer deaths. It is estimated that 42,000 American women will die of this disease in 1989. (The process used for mammograms may actually contribute and further cause breast cancer.)
A drug-oriented farming/food system, a drug-oriented medical system, and a society that claims to be fighting a war on drugs (called "our national blight") by arresting teenagers and telling them to "say no" to drugs. That amounts to telling our children to behave in contradiction to every example being set before them on the farm and in the city.

Did you know that doctors are the third leading cause of death in the United States? Then you will probably be surprised to find out that there are over:
* 12,000 deaths/year from unnecessary surgery
* 7000 deaths/year from medication errors in hospitals
* 20,000 deaths/year from other errors in hospitals
* 80,000 deaths/year from nosocomial infections in hospitals
*106,000 deaths/year from nonerror, adverse effects of medications
These total to 225, 000 deaths per year in the United States alone!!! 225,000 deaths per year constitutes the third leading cause of death in the United States, after deaths from heart disease and cancer.

Medical News - IMVA - Medical Fascism - January 27, 2006
Dear IMVA,
I would like to share some interesting responses I received from readers after publishing yesterday’s essay on politics and medicine. I would like to encourage more of this in the future because actually it is two way communication that is most dynamic and fulfilling. I will only publish people’s names when requested to do so.
“Yesterday afternoon Oprah had a whole show about the threat of pandemic flu and treatment or lack of. However vitamin C was never mentioned nor anything else regarding research studies that would point to a natural way to solve the 'threat'. I find it most interesting to have received Where Medicine and Politics Meet. There are NO accidents.”
It never ceases to amaze me how much control the medical industrial complex has over society and how even families can be divided over medical issues. Linus Pauling said pointedly, "Do not let either the medical authorities or the politicians mislead you. Find out what the facts are, and make your own decisions about how to live a happy life and how to work for a better world." We live in a world though very similar to what existed in Nazi Germany where people just eat authority for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Though Americans hate to admit it they have fallen into the shadows of fascism - in the area of medicine they think it is just perfect. The medical freedom movement is in reality a struggle against medical fascism.
I read some interesting words yesterday from a Mark S. Tucker who asked, “To whom might we go for a reliable working understanding of `fascism'? Why, to a fascist, of course! And who better than Duce Benito Mussolini, a figure who once extolled it as the marriage of corporations and the State.” Tucker went on to say, “Fascism will have descended upon America, not roaring and fierce, not raking the air with bloody claws, not squalling and preening, but softly, quietly, unnoticed, on cat's feet.” Under this very straight definition we have to come to the unfortunate conclusion that both democrats and republican parties are fascist for both are in bed with corporations and cannot be separated from them.
"There are two mammoth factors that the IMVA has discovered
are linked to the horrendous rise in diabetes in adults and children
that the western medical establishment has not paid attention to.
The first is deficiency in magnesium. The second the tremendous
rise in chemical toxicity in the environment and in our foods"
One person not known to me reacted heavily to this statement after the magnesium and diabetes post of last week was forwarded to them; and I was informed that in the main diabetes groups online there is no openness to these kinds of thoughts. In the complicated world of diabetic medicine it is a big problem when certain groups or individuals focus on a particular aspect of this very complex disease. Ignoring the many aspects and focusing exclusively on any one, on genetic, dietary, lifestyle, or environmental to the exclusion of the others is not medically supportable. Yet there are principle causes like magnesium that are rightfully being thrust forward but such is the stretch of medical fascism that it will be years before magnesium as a simple and safe treatment will be acknowledged and embraced. In the meantime people around the world will continue to be losing limbs at the rate of one every thirty seconds. Pain and death are the watch words of medical fascism.
One of my regular readers said, “I think you would be far more effective if you stuck to medicine and stayed away from politics. You have many wonderful ideas regarding health, but much of what you say politically in this essay is speculative, inflammatory, and offensive. That picture was really over the top -- you lose all credibility with that kind of thing, and no one will listen to your medical ideas unless they totally agree with your politics, and that's a shame.”
I was not quick to agree and instantly received another response from another dedicated reader who said, “Mark: Excellent article. Let us not, however, forget Hillary who wishes to bring back Hillarycare and seeks to create an electronic medical tracking system with Frist. We saw what she did in vaccines with the mandates.”
I wrote back to the first reader, “I expect to get responses and reactions from all over the compass. The point you missed is that medicine is politics, and politics is very much into medicine. And if this essay is not offensive I quit! The subject of iatrogenic death and disease is an absolute horror.” Yes we do not have smoke stacks near our home towns, no ashes from the burning of the dead from concentration camps. What we have are massive deaths and even more massive crying and suffering that falls ‘softly, quietly, unnoticed, on cat's feet’ in society.
Today I personally met the first mother who allowed the western medical establishment to inject her child with the flu vaccine containing mercury. How anyone can lead their child willingly into the grips of medical fascism as they were forced 60 years ago into the Nazi doctors office for medical experimentation is truly beyond my ability to understand. Am I being overly dramatic in my use of Nazi imagery? No! It’s a perfect environment for fascism to expand its hold on civilization. As it was before it is now. Without the willingness to look fascism right in the eye and spit on it - it thrives.
We let fascism rule when we cut ourselves off from the whole. It is in human separation that the dark forces find their rule. Few even know anything today about what I call THE ONENESS OF BEING for separation is all they know. My essays draw some pretty clear lines; they show where the invisible separations are. This comes in loud and clear when the extremes are communicated. For instance I was recently graced with some kind words from Peter Bowditch of The Millenium Project. It seems Peter would rather see people dead then listen to anything I might have to say. I will spare you all his choice words but like all defenders of medical fascism they attack and accuse without offering substance to substantiate anything they say. He calls me a vaccine liar, which is a perfect projection of the vaccinationists – they practice the really big lie – meaning they are the inheritors of the worst that fascism has to offer.
Although I am popular among my readers the reality is that we live in a world that does not listen, not really, not deeply. Those who take any excuse to stop listening to truth when they see it were probably not listening deeply in the first place. Real listening is not fickle, certainly it’s not political. The real reason civilization is in jeopardy is just because listening is not mandatory in politics meaning people in power do not listen when they don't want to and sadly that’s most of the time.
Actually to be fair I am not popular with all my readers for there are those who at best tolerate me. Since I came on the autism and vaccine scene almost three years ago I have been looked upon with suspicion and many have been warned to stay clear of me. I think many are disappointed that I have not simply faded away and will be further dismayed by my future plans and my rapidly expanding readership.
The IMVA intends to assault the mainstream medical community not give lip service to it. I can personally assure everyone that not an ounce of Richard Chamberlin lives in my blood. You will not see me come off a plane with a paper like the prime minister of England did after he met with Hitler….Peace in our Times he announced….just before the Nazi war machine raced across Poland. I was raised to detest the Nazi and that was probably one of the best educations my mother ever gave me. In the medical world that brings me face to face with the FDA, the CDC, the World Health Organization and a host of medical organizations. I do not ever need to treat with the enemy for they will never treat with me.
